The Beginning of Our Journey

The story begins in 1976 with the founding of “SKS BV” co-founded by J.M. Kriekaard. Soon this became a successful company in the southwest of the Netherlands.

1976

First Prototype

The first prototype of the coatinghood was developed in 1982, and in 1983 M&T introduced this revolutionary product to the glass industry.

400e Coatinghood

In 1989, the 400th coating hood was transferred, and shortly thereafter SKS was acquired by the Troost Group. Under the new management, production of coating hoods for Arkema continued.

1989

Establishment of K-Tec B.V.

In 2000, J.M.Kriekaard founded K-Tec B.V. for the development and production of Hot-end coating equipment. In 2000, in cooperation with Imaca B.V., the K-II was introduced.

25 Years of Hot-End Coating Equipment

In 2008, J.M. Kriekaard was honored with an award from our then partner for his 25 years of effort in the development and production of a total of 1146 coating hoods.

New Premises

We are proud to announce the completion of our new facility, built in 2022 to accommodate the growing demand for coating hoods in the packaging industry. This expansion increases our production capacity, accelerates delivery times, and ensures the quality our customers expect.”

Growth and Independence

Initially our machines were sold through partners, but in 2023 K-Tec B.V. decided to enter the market independently. With more than 40 years of experience and more than 1,500 machines produced, K-Tec B.V. is your reliable partner.
